Brian S. Steinberger is a former Primary Patent Examiner with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and is a registered patent attorney. Mr. Steinberger is a member of the Florida, Pennsylvania, and Federal bars, including the Middle District of Florida. He is also a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association(AIPLA), University of Michigan Alumni, the American Bar Association (ABA), and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA).
Upon graduating from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor’s engineering program, Mr. Steinberger worked for over nine years as a Patent Examiner for the United States Patent and Trademark Office (1983-1992), where he examined over eight hundred patent applications and left the office as a Primary Patent Examiner. In 1992, Mr. Steinberger graduated Howard Law School on an academic scholarship in three years while working full time at the Patent and Trademark Office.
Mr. Steinberger has authored many articles on intellectual property for technical journals and newspapers, and has lectured for over eight years on intellectual property at the University of Central Florida’s Small Business Development Center in Orlando. Since 1993, Mr. Steinberger has written and prosecuted over hundreds of patents, trademarks, and copyrights, and has been lead and associate trial counsel on multiple litigation cases at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and in Federal and State Courts.
